Not long after his trip to the river with Jinx, Silco learned from Sevika that Vi was somehow still alive and had returned to Zaun to search for her sister, much to his surprise and shock. Realizing that Marcus had lied to him about murdering Vi, Silco came to his home and ordered him to fix his mistake, threatening to kill his young daughter Ren if he refused or failed. |

After a great deal of searching, Silco eventually found Vi and Caitlyn, her Enforcer friend, hiding out in the slums of Zaun, having bribed the locals with Shimmer to get their exact location. He then tossed several vials to the local addicts and ordered them to attack Vi and Caitlyn, but was foiled when Vi managed to knock over a giant neon sign, causing it to crash down on Silco and take out his henchmen. Frustrated at having failed to kill Vi, Silco returned to his office to find out that Jinx had tied Sevika up and learned the truth about her sister’s return, much to his shock and horror. |
||
After releasing her from her restraints, Sevika informed Silco that a blockade had been set up between Piltover and Zaun, and that trade between the two cities had slowed down to a halt. Dismissing her concerns, Silco headed out to go find Jinx, but was convinced not to by Sevika, who told him that Jinx would come back to him when she was ready and suggested that he instead attend an unscheduled assembly with the chem-barons, who were displeased with how the blockade had caused a substantial dip in their profits. |

Later, after returning to his office, Silco was confronted by Jinx, who repeatedly stabbed him with his eye injection syringe and angrily accused him of lying to her about her sister’s death. Silco replied that he didn’t know that Vi survived, as Marcus was the one who lied to him about her in the first place, and that he wanted to protect her from further trauma. When Jinx wasn’t persuaded by his words, Silco reminded her of how he was the one who took her in after her sister abandoned her and that in the end, he was her only true family. He then convinced Jinx to finish weaponizing the gemstone and emphasized its importance by telling her that he needed her more than ever to make it happen, prompting her to give him a proper injection and storm out of the room in tears. |

After Jinx's bloody confrontation with Ekko on the Bridge of Progress, Silco arrived on the bridge to find her gravely wounded from her own grenade and clenching the gemstone in one hand. Worried for her life, he took her to Singed and ordered him to operate on her. When Singed warned him of the possibility that she wouldn’t survive the treatment, Silco refused to give up on Jinx and stated that he couldn’t let her die. Singed understood this sentiment, as he once had a daughter himself, and then rendered Silco unconscious with a chemical injection so that he wouldn’t interfere with the surgery. Silco later woke up to find out that Jinx was gone, with Singed in the middle of cleaning his tools. Grabbing a knife, he shoved Singed up against a nearby wall and demanded to know what he did to Jinx; Singed responded by stating that he did what was asked of him and saved her life. |

Later, while reading through a letter sent to him by Jayce, Silco was confronted in his office by Finn, Renni, and Sevika. When the two chem-barons made it clear that they were here to kill him, Silco lectured them about their lack of loyalty to their fellow Zaunites and insulted them as spoiled brats who took all they had for granted. His speech about loyalty was enough to convince Sevika to take his side, who killed Finn by slitting his throat. After telling Renni that he would've had her son killed for her treachery if he wasn’t already dead, Silco ordered her to get out, commended Sevika for not falling for Finn’s offers, and went right back to reading his letter. |

Silco later met Jayce at the waterfront and after learning that the latter only wanted to negotiate because he didn’t want to be responsible for a Zaunite genocide, he laid out his terms for peace, which included free trade routes, blanket amnesty, sovereignty, and unrestricted access to the Hexgate. Jayce accepted his demands without much complaint, provided that Silco agreed to shut down his remaining Shimmer factories, return the gemstone, and hand Jinx over to Piltover so that she could be punished for her crimes. Although Silco was completely fine with Jayce’s first two conditions, he was horrified by his third and last condition, and attempted to get Jayce to change his mind by claiming that Jinx had only launched those attacks on his orders. Unfortunately, Jayce was not persuaded by his words and made it clear that this was a one-time offer, leaving Silco with the impossible decision of choosing between his dream and his daughter. |
||
It was at that point that Silco finally came to understand why Vander had abandoned their dream of freedom for his family and took the time to drink out his frustrations at a statue of Vander that was built in the Lanes. However, he failed to notice that Jinx was hiding behind the statue and had overheard every word he said about Jayce’s offer. Having come to the misconception that he was planning on betraying her to the Topsiders for his dream of independence, she knocked him out and dragged him back to his original hideout where they first met almost a decade ago. |

Vander and Silco were once presumably close, as they refer to one another as brothers in the past. Following a traumatic event (due to an argument of sorts) in which Vander nearly drowns Silco, the two's friendship came to an end. While Vander devoted his life to the safety of the Undercity (a.k.a. the precursor of the nation of Zaun), Silco was fueled by the cause his 'brother' had given up, particularly seeking to use violence in order to get results. Although Silco hated Vander initially, his hate faded over time—and he grew to appreciate that Vander's betrayal made him into the dangerous, ruthless man that he is today. |

Silco and Singed share a business relationship, and Singed is referred to as the 'doctor'. Presumably, Singed invented or at least helped with the creation of the addictive substance, Shimmer. |
|||
Singed and Silco had a typical business relationship, but Silco's position as a criminal kingpin led him to distrust Singed, as he kept the hextech gemstone from him despite respecting his scientific expertise. Singed was the inventor of shimmer, which became the drug that fueled Silco's empire, and he had a great deal of faith in his abilities, as displayed when he immediately brought Jinx to him to heal her after she suffered severe injuries. During the surgery, Singed offered to give Silco sedatives to stop him from seeing the agony Jinx would suffer during the operation, due to Singed empathizing with Silco as a father himself. |

After Silco's death, and the deaths of the other chembarons, Singed would lose his primary source of funding and would eventually seek employment by the Noxus. |

When Jinx is fatally wounded by her own bomb in her fight with Ekko, Silco rushes her to Singed, demanding him to save her life. Singed reminds him the process is both experimental and very dangerous, though Silco disregards this. For Silco's own supposed good, Singed drugs him as he works on Jinx, most likely because Silco would be unable to watch his adopted daughter writhe in agony and would interfere. |

Sevika joined Silco's cause after her disappointment at Vander weak and passive approach towards improving standing. She saw potential in Silco's vision and would become one of his most loyal goons, even saving his life from an explosion that would cost her an arm. During his rise to power Silco would make sure to take into account Sevika's advice and treated her well, though in the matters of Jinx she would greatly disapprove of his soft and permissive approach towards raising his adopted daughter. She would sometimes open up to Silco, telling him about her past, often as advice when dealing with Jinx as his child. Even when offered a better (more lucrative) deal by other chembarons, Sevika would stay loyal to her boss, and execute the traitors without question. She would assure him that she never intended to betray him for worms such as them (indicating that if another, stronger person offered a better deal, she would take it). She would ultimately remain loyal to him until his death. In a letter from an unknown individual, it was said that Silco "meant a lot" to Sevika and his death took a heavy toll on her, and she drank a lot in the initial stages of the turf wars. |

Jayce hated Silco ever since he discovered he was responsible for the escalating tensions between Piltover and Zaun, and would react violently to the revelation by leading a raid with Vi against one of the crime lord's shimmer factories. Silco, in turn, did not seem to think highly of Jayce, seeing him as a young and inexperienced leader who had "tipped his hand" when he eventually offered peace. Silco delivered excessive demands to Jayce during their negotiation, including free trade routes, unrestricted access to the Hexgate, blanket amnesty, and sovereignty for Zaun. These demands displeased Jayce, but Silco knew he would capitulate to them when he asked to parley, which showed Silco that Jayce didn't have the determination to follow through with future military attacks. Jayce, in turn, warned Silco that no one on the Piltover Council would have offered this deal aside from him, as many in Piltover would prefer the undercity be simply slaughtered by Piltover's technologically superior military force. |
||
Jayce ultimately |
Jayce ultimately agreed to Silco's demands. However, he stipulated that Silco must end all shimmer production, return the stolen gemstone, and also hand over Jinx to Piltover to answer for her crimes. Silco argued that Jinx was acting on his orders and therefore he was responsible for the attacks, and while Jayce agreed, he was unable to arrest Silco, as the deal required he be placed in charge of Zaun to control his chembaron lieutenants. Unbeknownst to Jayce, the treaty was doomed to fall through because of this provision, as it would cause Jinx herself to kidnap Silco and eventually kill half the Council, destroying any chance at peace. After Jinx's Super Mega Death Rocket!, Jayce presumably learned about Silco's death at her hands. Finn and Silco used to have a friendly business relationship, with Finn trusting that Silco knew how to "run an enterprise" after he got rid of Vander. Finn served as a lieutenant in Silco's criminal empire for a number of years until Jinx bombing of the Academy Square froze merchandise at the border, causing profits to plummet. After this, Finn convened an assembly of the other chembarons, stating that Silco's control over his henchmen and his empire was slipping. Unlike Silco, Finn was not set on an all-out rebellion against Piltover and believed they should cut a deal with topside to give back the hextech gemstone, as that would reopen trade. Silco later referred to Finn as a "parasite" when he attempted a coup against his leadership, looking down on him for being young and naive to the harsh conditions Zaunites used to live in. Finn, on the other hand, believed Silco was old, washed-up, and spineless when it came to his daughter, Jinx, boldly claiming to Silco's face that he would die that day. |
|||
Of all the Chem-Barons, Silco despises Finn the most, believing he has gotten "fat and complacent" off the power he provides them and seeing him as a far cry from his own hardscrabble upbringing. Even after being nearly suffocated to remind him of his place, Finn in turn has nothing but contempt for Silco and seeks to take his place, even trying to convince Sevika to turn against him as well. After Vi and Jayce destroy one of Silco's Shimmer facilities, Finn sees an opportunity to dethrone his longtime rival and confronts Silco in his office at The Last Drop. Silco was a Zaunite gangster and revolutionary, and the adoptive father of . He sought to free the undercity from
Piltover's control and was willing to resort to brutal and unethical methods to achieve that goal.
Background
Early Life
Silco and Piltover’s oppressive control and establishing an independent
Zaunite nation under their rule. They were also both close friends with , and ’s mother, with Silco having promised Felicia with a toast that he'd keep fighting for Zaun's freedom when he learned that she was pregnant with her first child.
However, everything changed when Vander and Silco attempted to launched an uprising against Piltover, which ultimately failed and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of their own people, including Felicia and her husband
. This led Vander to adopt Vi and Powder as his daughters after their parents’ deaths and lose his resolve to keep fighting for Zaun’s freedom, much to Silco’s chagrin.Felicia’s death drove a wedge between Vander and Silco, and eventually led Vander to attack Silco out of grief and attempt to drown him in Zaun's polluted rivers. Although Silco managed to fight Vander off with a knife and escape back into the underground, the chemicals in the water heavily scarred his face and mutated his left eye.[1]
Although he was left traumatized by Vander's betrayal, Silco believed that the event had made him stronger as a person. Despite this, he couldn't bring himself to forgive Vander for his actions and began to plot his revenge against his former friend. The anguish he suffered from Felicia's death and his violent disagreement with Vander also radicalized him and led him to become extremely ruthless in his pursuit of Zaun's freedom, to the point where he had no qualms with turning his own people into savage monsters in order to secure their independence from Piltover. His injury also never fully healed and as a result, he was forced to periodically inject chemicals into his left eye in order to keep his illness from going out of control.[1][2]
Getting Payback
Silco spent the next several years building up his criminal network, many of whom were former members of Vander's crew who had lost faith in him over his passive approach towards Piltover. At some point, he hired the rogue scientist
to create a drug that would make the underground strong enough to fight against the Topsiders. Silco also kept an eye on Vander's actions and patiently waited for the right moment to strike back.Several years later, Silco learned from [2] Realizing that this was his chance to get his revenge and seize power at the same time, Silco convinced Deckard to be the first human test subject for shimmer, Singed's new drug. He also sought out a young Enforcer named and told him the identities of the children who'd caused the explosion in Piltover.[3]
, one of his teenage lackeys, that Vander's adopted children had caused an explosion during one of their heists in Piltover and that the Enforcers were searching all over the undercity for them.Just as Silco had planned, Marcus was able to put enough pressure on Vander for the latter to give himself up to Piltover in place of his children. However, before Marcus and his boss, Sheriff [1]
, could take Vander with them to Piltover, Silco and Deckard ambushed them, killing Grayson and , Vander's second-in-command. When Marcus began to protest that this wasn't part of their deal, Silco tossed Marcus a bag of coins and then had Deckard drag Vander back to his hideout. As he still respected Vander to an extent, Silco attempted to persuade his former friend to join him in the coming revolution against Piltover. However, Vander rejected the offer and told him that he wasn't the same person he used to be in the past. Enraged by this claim, Silco then tied Vander up and waited for his children to show up, knowing that they would come to save him.[1]
Eventually, [1]
, , and arrived to save Vander, but realized too late that Silco had deliberately left him unguarded in order to trap them in. Although they nearly succeeded in breaking Vander out, a makeshift bomb made by Vi's sister, , exploded before they could escape, destroying most of the building, killing Mylo and Claggor, and injuring Vander and Vi. Silco himself was nearly caught in the blast and only managed to avoid injury because pushed him out of the way and took the hit in his place, losing her left arm in the process. In a desperate attempt to defend Vi, Vander began fighting back against Silco's surviving henchmen himself with makeshift knuckles. Although he put up a good fight, he was ultimately overpowered by Deckard, who had empowered himself with Shimmer, and stabbed in the gut by Silco, who then tossed him into a pile of Shimmer vials. To Silco's surprise, Vander injected himself with a vial, drastically mutating his body and making him strong enough to easily strangle Deckard before he could get to Vi. He then attempted to kill Silco as well, but decided against it to save Vi.[1]
Unwilling to allow Vander to get away, Silco pursued him with his remaining henchmen, only to find him seemingly dead, Vi nowhere to be found, and Powder in the middle of an emotional breakdown on the street. Unaware that Vi had momentarily abandoned Powder for unintentionally killing their foster father, Silco approached Powder and asked her where her sister was. Much to his surprise, Powder then jumped into his arms and told him that Vi had left her and was no longer her sister anymore. Realizing that Powder had been betrayed by Vi just like Vander had betrayed him, Silco sympathized with her situation, embraced her, and took her in under his care.[1]
Rise to Power
With Vander gone, Silco quickly rose to power in the underground and swiftly replaced his former friend as the next leader of Zaun. He also built a massive criminal empire by selling Shimmer to his own people, brought the chem-barons together to manage his factories, and took over the Last Drop, Vander's former bar, which he transformed into a nightclub and his personal headquarters. Although some of Vander's followers tried to stop him from taking over, none of them succeeded, as Silco easily defeated them all with the muscle and the money that he'd carefully gathered over the past few years.[4]
Despite having reneged on his deal with Marcus, Silco remained in contact with him, with Marcus eventually replacing Grayson as Sheriff and acting as his sleeper agent in Piltover. As a result, any investigations into Silco came up clean and never revealed any of his crimes, causing the Topsiders to believe that he was a legitimate industrialist and allowing him to regularly smuggle Shimmer to foreign nations without ever having to worry about getting caught.[4]
Meanwhile, Powder eventually became one of Silco's most feared subordinates. Having renamed her [4]
, Silco personally trained her until she grew into a skilled fighter and a gifted inventor, enabling her to create and design all kinds of weapons and gadgets to serve his cause. Most of Silco's crew became wary of Powder due to her mental instability, but even when they openly protested against her, Silco protected her and kept her by his side. In time, he came to greatly value her for her abilities and love her as his own daughter.Troubled Reign
On the 200th anniversary of Piltover's founding, almost a decade after he adopted Powder, one of Silco's Shimmer shipments was sabotaged by the Firelights. Although Jinx killed most of the gangsters with her grenades, the Firelights still succeeded in destroying the shipment, leading Silco to deem the operation as a failure. However, instead of blaming Jinx for losing control, he gave her a pass after hearing her side of the story, telling her to take some time off to work on her gadgetry, and berated Sevika instead for failing to stop the Firelights from disrupting their business operations.
Feeling guilty for having failed Silco, Jinx decided to make it up to him by stealing a Hextech gemstone and several research papers from
and lab in Piltover. During the heist, she cooked up a trap with her to distract any Enforcers nearby, which killed six of them and obliterated an entire building. Although Silco was initially enraged to find out that Jinx had killed a bunch of Topsiders for seemingly no good reason and left him with even more of a mess to fix, he later approved of her actions when she showed him the gemstone and couldn't help but be impressed by her success.Shortly after Jinx's attack on Piltover, Silco was visited by Marcus, who expressed his frustration with the deaths of his officers and urged Silco to give Jinx up, claiming that he would be doing Silco a favor by turning her in. However, Silco sharply denied his request and suggested that he blame the Firelights for the attack instead. He then handed Marcus a bag of coins to give to the families of the Enforcers who were killed by Jinx, prompting the latter to take his leave.
Sometime later, Silco was visited by Marcus again, who revealed that Jayce had been given a seat on Piltover's ruling council and was currently investigating all the political corruption that existed in the upper city. When Marcus expressed his concern that they would both be caught if Jayce continued with his investigation, Silco handed him one of Jinx's grenades as "evidence" that the Firelights had been involved in the bombing and dared him to pull the pin if he wanted out of their arrangement.
Although Marcus decided against pulling the pin and left the room without complaint, Silco noticed that he was starting to question his loyalties and told Jinx, who had overheard their entire conversation from the rafters of his office, that she needed to weaponize the Hextech gemstone as soon as possible. When Jinx told him that she couldn’t do it due to the trauma she suffered from her last experience with the gemstone, Silco decided to take her out to the river where Vander nearly drowned him and told her how being betrayed by the man he once saw as a brother made him stronger than he ever was before. He advised Jinx to follow his example by letting Powder die, which he believed would make her strong enough to overcome her pain, and then baptized her in the water, encouraging her to let go of her past so that she could focus on fighting for Zaun's future.
Dealing With Dissent
Not long after his trip to the river with Jinx, Silco learned from Sevika that
was somehow still alive and had returned to Zaun to search for her sister, much to his surprise and shock. Realizing that Marcus had lied to him about murdering Vi, Silco came to his home and ordered him to fix his mistake, threatening to kill his young daughter Ren if he refused or failed. After a great deal of searching, Silco eventually found Vi and
, her Enforcer friend, hiding out in the slums of Zaun, having bribed the locals with Shimmer to get their exact location.
During the assembly, the chem-barons accused Silco of failing to rein Jinx in, as it was her attacks that caused the blockade in the first place, and suggested giving back the gemstone to the Topsiders in hopes of resuming their businesses with Piltover. When
, one of the chem-barons, mocked Silco’s dream of liberating Zaun from Piltover’s control when he wasn't even capable of controlling his own daughter, Silco decided to teach them a lesson by having Sevika gas the room with the Grey. As Sevika passed masks around the room so that the chem-barons wouldn’t suffocate, Silco told them how the Grey used to plague the underground when he was young and berated them for their complacent mindsets and clear disinterest in attaining true freedom from Topside. After the chem-barons decided to back down, Silco left the room, having made his point.Later, after returning to his office, Silco was confronted by Jinx, who repeatedly stabbed him with his eye injection syringe and angrily accused him of lying to her about her sister’s death.
After Jinx's bloody confrontation with
on the Bridge of Progress, Silco arrived on the bridge to find her gravely wounded from her own grenade and clenching the gemstone in one hand. Worried for her life, he took her to and ordered him to operate on her. Grabbing a knife, he shoved Singed up against a nearby wall and demanded to know what he did to Jinx; Singed responded by stating that he did what was asked of him and saved her life.Offer For Independence
After Jayce’s assault on one of his Shimmer factories, Silco arrived at the destroyed compound with
, Finn, and Sevika to inspect the damage the Topsiders had done and discovered that the boy that Jayce accidentally killed was Renni’s son. When Renni angrily demanded to know if he was planning on taking revenge on the Topsiders for murdering her son, Silco replied that she should’ve been glad that her son was fortunate enough to die for the cause, which only angered her further.Later, while reading through a letter sent to him by Jayce, Silco was confronted in his office by Finn, Renni, and Sevika.
Silco later woke up to find out that Jinx had tied him up along with Vi and Caitlyn, and brought them together to have a “tea party” of sorts. After failing to convince Vi to kill Caitlyn, Jinx ungaged Silco, who told her that Vi would only betray her again in the end and that he never had any intention of selling her out to Piltover, as he regarded her as his daughter and would prefer to burn Topside to the ground than to hand her over to them. His words moved Jinx emotionally, but before he could convince her to free him from his restraints, Caitlyn broke free from her restraints, having cut her ropes with a stray piece of glass, and threatened to kill Jinx with
if she didn’t drop her pistol first. After putting the gun down and feigning surrender, Jinx then charged at Caitlyn with inhuman speed and punched her in the face before she could react in time to defend herself, knocking her out cold and taking back Pow-Pow from her hands.Death
Silco then told Jinx to finish Caitlyn off, but before she could move in for the kill, Vi pleaded with Jinx to remember their late loved ones in the hopes that she would spare Caitlyn and revert back to her old self as Powder. This caused Jinx to suffer a mental breakdown and have twisted, monstrous hallucinations of Mylo, Claggor, Vander, and her late parents. Realizing that Vi was hurting Jinx, Silco managed to wrestle one arm free of his restraints, grab Jinx's pistol, and aim it at Vi. Unfortunately, the sound of her pistol being cocked was enough to set Jinx off and caused her to start firing wildly with Pow-Pow, punching several holes through Vi's chair and fatally shooting Silco in the chest.
Horrified by what she’d done, Jinx ran over to Silco, cupped his face in her hands, and started crying upon realizing that he was beyond saving. Despite the fact that he was dying, Silco did not blame her for accidentally murdering him and softly reassured her that he never would have given her up to Topside for anything. He then tried to comfort her, telling her not to cry and that she was perfect the way she was, shortly before his heart gave out and he passed away in her arms.
With no need to deal with Vi and Caitlyn now that Silco was dead, Jinx abandoned her old identity as Powder and headed out to the edge of the harbor with the gemstone in hand, where it was revealed that she had successfully weaponized the gemstone through
, her signature rocket launcher. With tears still streaming down her cheeks, Jinx then fired Fishbones at Piltover’s council building in honor of Silco’s memory, destroying the upper half of the building and killing nearly half of the councilors inside, including , , and Caitlyn's mother .Legacy
Silco’s unexpected death suddenly left Zaun without a leader, creating a power vacuum and prompting the chem-barons to fight each other for control of the Lanes. This plunged the undercity into anarchy and ultimately resulted in the destruction of the chem-barons altogether, as they were either killed by their own reckless decisions or hunted down by
as part of her mission to eliminate the rest of Silco's followers.Knowing how much the location meant to Silco personally, Jinx buried him in the same river that he baptized her in, with his body sinking to the bottom. She continued to mourn his death for the next few weeks and spent most of that time aimlessly wandering around the undercity until she met
, a young girl with whom she formed an emotional bond and eventually adopted as her baby sister. After Isha tragically sacrificed herself to save her from being killed by
several months later, Jinx lost hope in her life and surrendered herself to the Enforcers. While wasting away in her prison cell out of grief for Isha's death, she had a vivid hallucination of Silco, who explained to her that killing was a cycle that predated him and Vander, and would outlast her and Vi, and that the only way to exit the cycle entirely was to walk away. He also told her that people tended to build their own prisons in the form of their assumed identities, and used himself as an example of that by claiming that his war against Piltover was motivated by his desire to break free of the prison he had unconsciously created for himself. This hallucinated version of Silco then disappeared when Vi suddenly arrived at Jinx's cell, having swiped the keys from the guards in order to break her out.Appearance
Silco was a tall and thin middle-aged man with pale, grayish skin, black hair styled into an undercut, green eyes, and heavy scarring on the left side of his face. His most notable trait was his left eye, which lacked an eyelid and appeared to be heavily discolored, with an orange iris and black sclera. He was also generally seen wearing a red and black Piltovan three-piece suit.
In his later years, Silco would wore heavy makeup and several layers of foundation to hide the fact that his facial scarring was slowly growing worse. He also developed several prominent wrinkles on his face and gained a grey streak in his hair.
Personality
Silco is a ruthless and brutal, yet calculating and cautious man who will do anything to carry out his ambitions. He believes that violence is the only way to stand against Piltover and unite the underground against the Topsiders, and that power only comes to those who are willing to sacrifice their own morals to achieve it. His ultimate goal is to free the undercity from Piltover's control and allow it to become an independent Zaunite state under his rule, which he refers to as the Nation of Zaun.
Silco holds a deep grudge against his former brother-in-arms
for betraying him in the past. He also despises the passive leader that Vander eventually became, believing the latter to have grown soft and weak in his approach against the Topsiders. However, despite his grudge against Vander, Silco still holds a certain degree of respect for him, as he remembers the fearsome fighter that Vander used to be in their youth, and at one point, even offered him the chance to rejoin forces against Piltover. Even after Vander's death, Silco still held his old friend in high regard, as shown when he paid his respects to a statue of Vander that was made in his honor.Despite all his personal faults, Silco has a sense of honor and values loyalty, due to his personal belief that his generation only survived to the present day because of how loyal they were to one another. As a result, he has little respect for the chem-barons due to their lack of loyalty to the cause, and views them as parasites who take the luxuries they have for granted and leech off the legacies of their ancestors to their own benefit. He also has some level of compassion, as displayed when he embraced and took under his wing after noticing the similarities between her and his younger self.
Over the years, Silco patiently encouraged Powder, now known as
, to pursue her talents and eventually established a close father-daughter relationship with her, ironically echoing the bond that had with Vander. In time, he would come to genuinely love and care for Jinx as if she was his own child and regularly shield her from the criticisms of his other subordinates, even though he was well-aware of her tendencies as a loose cannon. Although he was typically able to tolerate her wild nature, there were still times when even he would lose his patience with her, as shown when he furiously berated her for murdering six Enforcers and blowing up a building without his permission and seemingly without a valid reason. In the end, the emotional attachment that Silco had for Jinx led him to never forsake her, even when offered him Zaun's independence on the condition that he was to turn her over to Piltover, and after Jinx fatally shot him by accident, he didn't blame her for his impending death, instead telling her that she was perfect the way she was and comforting her in his final moments.Abilities
- Leader: Silco is a competent leader. As a feared and respected figure among his people, he is willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure that his vision of freedom comes to pass and maintained his rule over the undercity for almost a decade until he was accidentally killed by .
- Teacher: As Jinx's adoptive father, Silco became her primary mentor in life after the loss of her first family and not only taught her how to survive in the underground, but also encouraged her to make good use of her natural talents and gave her all the opportunities she needed to improve her inventions and weaponry. This later caused Jinx to become his greatest asset against the Topsiders, as she was the only person he could trust to have the skills to reverse-engineer their Hextech technology and weaponize it against them.
- Other Abilities: Silco is handy with a knife, but since he usually leaves the fighting to his minions, he rarely has to use one and only ever does as a last resort. Due to having been forced to work in his mines as a young man, he also has a considerably greater tolerance to the toxic gasses that he experienced there; in constrast, most other Zaunites can't handle inhaling the gasses at all and are likely to suffocate without the use of breathing masks.

Despite their falling out, Vander never truly hated Silco and eventually felt guilty about what he did to his former friend; Silco in turn still respected Vander until he chose to cooperate with Piltover to preserve peace between their two cities.
Silco plotted a second uprising against Piltover and kidnapped Vander to recruit him for his plans. Silco revealed that he plans to weaponize shimmer against Piltover and thus coerce the Piltovans to recognize Zaun as an independent nation. He offers Vander to join him, despite his betrayal. However, Vander pointed out that Silco had already killed and turned several Undercity kids into shimmer-addicted monsters. To Vander, Silco's war against Piltover isn't worth the cost. He tells Silco to kill him and get his revenge, but begs Silco to not exploit the Undercity to facilitate his war. Silco is angered that Vander would die for a cause but not fight for one. Vander responds that he isn't that man anymore, but Silco is determined to show Vander that deep down, he's still a bellicose, violent man.
Silco holds Vander prisoner in an attempt to goad his kids to attempt to save him. Once Silco trapped Vander's kids in a warehouse, he sends his goons to kill them, forcing Vander to fight off his goons. The fight was chaotic, as
threw a bomb that took out her family and Silco's forces alike, and also left trapped under a pile of rubble. Vander pushed himself to recover, takes out a majority of Silco's men, and manages to strangle Silco. However, he was stabbed by Silco, thrown over the bridge, and lands on crates of shimmer. Vander injects shimmer into himself in order to defend Vi as a rage-filled shimmer monster. At the end though, rather than pursue Silco, he dies saving Vi from the collapsing building.“ | "Oh, it all makes sense now, brother. Is there anything so undoing as a daughter?" |

Following Vander's death, Silco adopted Vander's former adopted daughter,
, whom Silco came to love as his own daughter. However, Silco is offered Zaun's independence in exchange for handing over Jinx to the Piltover authorities. Silco admits to Vander's statue that he finally understands him and that, in a moment of cruel irony, he has become the person that had once infuriated him to murder.Felicia, Silco, and Enforcer, starting a massive riot on the Bridge of Progress. Felicia's death was ultimately the catalyst that caused Vander and Silco's falling out, with Vander blaming Silco for her death and later trying to drown him.[5]
After Vander's death, Silco kept a picture of himself, Vander, and Felicia hidden within a safe in his office.[6] He would also adopt Felicia's youngest daughter , giving her a home and raising her until her late teens.
Silco was willing to kill Vi without mercy, though apparently wanted to watch her fight instead of allowing his number one, Sevika, to take Vi on, he let the teenage girl beat her way through his underlings. He considered her Vander's prodigy, though later remarks that Jinx has, in his opinion, surpassed her skill set.
He grows to despise her by the end, seeing her as a threat to his relationship with Jinx. Vander and Vi share similarities in his mind, and he loathes that Vi turned her back on Jinx, the way Vander betrayed him. He recognizes, unlike Vi, that Jinx has rejected the personality of Powder, and that the memories of her past plague her. When Vi encourages Jinx to 'remember' herself, Silco is horrified by Jinx's blatant distress and attempts to shoot Vi. However, he misses, and is then killed by the person he seeks to protect. Vi seems unaware of the genuine familial bond between the two, and disregards his death, expecting Jinx to be pleased by the demise of who Vi believes is her abuser.

Ignoring Sevika and the rest of his underlings' qualms about Jinx's irresponsible and unpredictable behaviour, he makes excuses for and defends her at the expense of the respect of his followers. When Jinx displays an inability to let go of her traumatic past, Silco submerges her in the same river he nearly drowned in, referring to the betrayal in which he was nearly drowned by Vander. Silco instilled in Jinx many of his philosophies, hoping to mold her into a stronger and dangerous person who grew tougher from trauma — just like him.
Jinx is supposedly the only person he truly trusts, as he tasks her with delicate or personal things, such as injecting his infected eye with shimmer. They share a physical closeness, and Silco particularly seems to see a resemblance of himself in his newfound adopted daughter. Their relationship becomes strained, particularly in regards to the presence of Jinx's sister, Vi.
Following her near-death experience on the Piltovan bridge, Silco rushes Jinx to Singed, who injects her with Shimmer in an experiment to bring her back to functioning health.

In an unfortunate later incident, Jinx overhears Silco telling a statue of Vander that she was but a problem for him, unaware that it was in fact a testament to Silco's genuine paternal feelings for her. In retaliation, she kidnaps and binds him with the rest of her family (Vi, a kidnapped Caitlyn and recreations of Mylo, Claggor and Vander). He argues fiercely against the idea of Jinx leaving him to be with Vi, stating that her sister won't accept her, and says he'd rather the Piltovan government 'burn' than give up his daughter to them. However, when he tries to stop Vi from overwhelming Jinx with traumatic memories and attempts to shoot at her, Jinx reacts almost instantaneously and shoots him with Pow-Pow. Startled by her own actions, she rushes to him, crying that she didn't mean to do what she did. Silco's bittersweet last words: "I never would've given you to them... Not for anything"; a remark about their unwavering bond and his unconditional adoration.
Likely as an act of respect on his behalf and misery in regards to her emotional alienation with Vi, Jinx aims Fishbones at Piltover.

Singed and Silco had a typical business relationship, but Silco's position as a criminal kingpin led him to distrust Singed, as he kept the hextech gemstone from him despite respecting his scientific expertise. Singed was the inventor of shimmer, which became the drug that fueled Silco's empire, and he had a great deal of faith in his abilities, as displayed when he immediately brought to him to heal her after she suffered severe injuries. During the surgery, Singed offered to give Silco sedatives to stop him from seeing the agony Jinx would suffer during the operation, due to Singed empathizing with Silco as a father himself.
After Silco's death, and the deaths of the other chembarons, Singed would lose his primary source of funding and would eventually seek employment by the Noxians.
Sevika joined Silco's cause after her disappointment at Zaun's standing. She saw potential in Silco's vision and would become one of his most loyal goons, even saving his life from an explosion that would cost her an arm. During his rise to power Silco would make sure to take into account Sevika's advice and treated her well, though in the matters of she would greatly disapprove of his soft and permissive approach towards raising his adopted daughter. In a letter from an unknown individual, it was said that Silco "meant a lot" to Sevika and his death took a heavy toll on her, and she drank a lot in the initial stages of the turf wars.[7]

Jayce hated Silco ever since he discovered he was responsible for the escalating tensions between Piltover and
Zaun, and would react violently to the revelation by leading a raid with against one of the crime lord's shimmer factories.
Jayce ultimately agreed to Silco's demands. However, he stipulated that Silco must end all shimmer production, return the stolen gemstone, and also hand over chembaron lieutenants. Unbeknownst to Jayce, the treaty was doomed to fall through because of this provision, as it would cause Jinx herself to kidnap Silco and eventually kill half the Council, destroying any chance at peace. After Jinx's , Jayce presumably learned about Silco's death at her hands. He would later support and Vi's mission to wipe out the remnants of Silco's empire by providing them .

Silco argued that Jinx was acting on his orders and therefore he was responsible for the attacks, and while Jayce agreed, he was unable to arrest Silco, as the deal required he be placed in charge of Zaun to control hisFinn and Silco used to have a friendly business relationship, with Finn trusting that Silco knew how to "run an enterprise" after he got rid of chembarons, stating that Silco's control over his henchmen and his empire was slipping. Finn, on the other hand, believed Silco was old, washed-up, and spineless when it came to his daughter, Jinx, boldly claiming to Silco's face that he would die that day.
. Finn served as a lieutenant in Silco's criminal empire for a number of years until bombing of the Academy Square froze merchandise at the border, causing profits to plummet. After this, Finn convened an assembly of the otherWhile initially swearing fealty to Silco as one of the first Chem-Barons, Renni began to question his approach after

When her son was killed, she demanded Silco to get justice, but he refused and claimed that he had died for the cause, leading to her joining coup. After the coup failed and Finn ended up getting killed, Silco threatened Renni into submission by telling her that he would've had her son killed for her betrayal had he still been alive. After Silco's death, Renni was once again free to do as she pleased and led an attack at the Councilors' Memorial in a failed attempt to avenge her son.Arcane Show Appearances

- Silco's official height is 182 cm (6'0).[8]
- In an alternate universe where hextech was never invented and was killed during the apartment robbery, Silco never attempted to oust from his position as the leader of the undercity and chose to reconcile with his old friend instead, having presumably found the letter that Vander left for him in their old hideout. The duo later achieved their dream of freeing their people from Piltover's oppressive control, allowing Zaun to thrive and prosper for the first time in centuries. Unlike in the main universe, Silco also managed to obtain proper treatment for his facial scarring, enabling him to mostly heal from the injuries he received from Vander during his youth.
