Arcane. It premiered on November 9th, 2024 on the streaming platform Netflix.
Official Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Zaun lead to a shocking discovery.[1]
Plot[edit | edit source]
Flashing back to Kirammans' knowledge in order to manipulate the Gray. By rerouting underground ventilation paths, Caitlyn and her team use the Gray clear the streets of
Zaun and cover their tracks while remaining immune to the Gray's effects via gas masks. They battle their way through the undercity, eventually stumbling upon , bound to an idle ventilation fan. As they move to free him, five gruesome dolls drop from the ceiling above, each crafted in the image of one of the strike team's members, but horribly gored. Caitlyn questions Heenot, and he reveals that is planning something related to the ventilation systems as well. Caitlyn has the team arrest Heenot.
Black Rose, the cabal who apparently killed Ambessa's son . Magical tendrils disable Ambessa and . Amara tells Ambessa that the Black Rose will not allow her to find what she's searching for, but Ambessa retorts that this visit only confirms her suspicions. Rictus manages to slam his ax on the ground, igniting mystical runes that repel his bindings. After a short battle, Ambessa plunges her blade into Amara's stomach, killing her. Amara commands Rictus to move forward with their plans, but Rictus claims that " isn't ready." He suggests involving , but Ambessa believes that Mel is safer as an enemy.
speaks to Caitlyn in private. She suggests dismissing the other three members of the strike team. If they have any weaknesses, Vi reasons, Jinx will find and exploit them. Caitlyn questions whether Vi is ready to face Jinx, but Vi assures her that she believes her sister is gone. Vi apologizes for the death of Caitlyn's mother and asks Caitlyn to promise not to change. Caitlyn promises, and they share a kiss.
, , and leave with Heenot in tow.
A woman named shimmer serum to Salo's body. It leaves decorative marks on his skin. Ambessa arrives, commanding Lest to leave, and Lest does so. Ambessa reprimands Salo for being so easy to find, but he doesn't seem to care. She commands him to rally every house and family "with even a modicum of influence," to which he eagerly agrees.
is applying aMel meets Lest backstage at an auditorium. Lest overheard Ambessa's conversation with Salo, but is reluctant to reveal the information due to fear of Ambessa. With some convincing, she informs Mel of her mother's plans. She also gives Mel the vial of shimmer serum.
Vi and Caitlyn discover one of Jinx's signature monkey emblems over a pierced pipe leaking Gray.
hextech. Heimerdinger posits that mages have converted "miracles" into "horrors" not due to faults of their own, but as a property of the arcane itself. Jayce wonders why these patterns might appear underground, but then seems to have an idea.
educates and on hypothesis of "wild runes." He compares runes to language, and likens wild runes to something like a sigh, not a word, but something more primal. Ekko understands that wild runes are akin to the arcane's "fingerprints," places where the border between the physical world and the arcane is thin. Ekko reasons that the arcane has marked his tree due to overuse of magic viaVi and Caitlyn follow the Gray, trailing Jinx to what seems to be an abandoned stone temple dedicated to
.reports to Mel, informing her that Salo is meeting with numerous houses in preparation for a large meeting. She also finds that there is a "rat's nest" of misinformation regarding Kino's passing. Whoever killed him covered their tracks well, and managed to strip Ambessa of most of her holdings.
Jayce, Heimerdinger, and Ekko take an elevator deep underground.
Vi and Caitlyn enter a massive religious chamber where Jinx has defaced the enormous pillars with crude, brightly colored drawings of herself and her family. Vi tells Caitlyn to "take the shot" if she sees an opening.
Jayce uses the
as the key to an enormous dome-shaped chamber containing a large mechanism that serves as a failsafe at the base of the hexgates. If something ever went wrong, Jayce explains, the explosion would occur here. Ekko reasons that the underground structure must be the reason why the arcane is affecting the tree. Heimerdinger spots arcane distortion on the ground. Suddenly, their surroundings change, and the trio stands in an empty white void.Vi calls out Jinx's name. Jinx's voice rings out throughout the chamber, disgusted that Vi has turned enforcer. Vi refuses to consider Jinx her sister and is determined to stop her.
and watch from a high perch as Vi and Jinx argue. Jinx seems to finally appear at the end of the hall, but when Caitlyn takes the shot, the bullet only pierces a mirror.Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger find themselves awestruck in the presence of an arcane anomaly: a colossal, indescribable globe of chaotic energy.
Jinx appears atop a broken pillar and attacks Vi. Caitlyn aims to shoot Jinx, but is attacked by Sevika. As Jayce marvels at the astonishing sight, Caitlyn and Vi's hextech weapons begin to warp and distort unnaturally. Jayce, Ekko, and Heimerdinger watch as reality bends and twists surreally around them.
After a long battle, Vi destroys
and Caitlyn finally subdues Sevika. Caitlyn stumbles to her feet and takes a shot at Jinx, destroying the middle finger of Jinx's left hand. Vi pins Jinx atop an altar, and while Jinx accepts her death, Vi hesitates. Isha runs out from her hiding place, grabbing Jinx's pistol, jumping between the two sisters, and pointing the gun at Vi's face. Caitlyn shoots the pistol out of Isha's hand, and Isha simply clings to Jinx. Caitlyn tells Vi to get out of the way so that she take the shot, But Vi stands in the way, saying that she can't shoot Jinx with a child in the crossfire. Caitlyn attempts to take the shot anyway, but Vi forces the gun barrel down towards the ground.Sevika struggles to her feet and pulls a latch, detonating an explosive. The enormous carving of Janna at the back of the temple crumbles, revealing a tunnel that releases a powerful gust of wind. Vi and Caitlyn are caught in the gust and are violently blown out of the chamber. As it continues through the vents, the wind catches a number of paint traps set by Jinx and flows into Piltover, releasing a series of colorful paint bombs throughout the city.
Caitlyn is furious that Vi stopped her, but Vi can hardly believe that Caitlyn would risk endangering a child. Caitlyn slams the butt of her rifle into Vi's gut and leaves her behind. Vi clutchs her stomach in pain and weeps.
Mel takes the vial of shimmer and begins to exit her office, but Elora is suddenly seized by a mysterious force. The magic of the Black Rose envelops the room and then disappears, taking Mel and Elora with it. The vial clatters to the floor.
Ambessa holds a meeting in the ruins of the Council chamber, surrounded by all of Piltover's notable houses. She gives a speech, falsely claiming that it was a Zaunite assassin who killed Amara. She urges the Piltovans to declare martial law, initiate a full-scale war with Zaun, and appoint a general to lead the charge. While Salo expects to receive this title, Ambessa names Caitlyn. Caitlyn is taken aback. Ambessa begins pounding her fist against her chest in a rhythmic motion, prompting her soldiers to do the same, followed by the enforcers. In a series of flashbacks, we see that it was Ambessa who orchestrated
attack on the memorial. Caitlyn steps forward. Loris leaves in disappointment. Ambessa drapes a mantle across Caitlyn's shoulders, and while Caitlyn is hesitant at first, she finally balls her fist in salute.fondles his locket as a series of tubes drain his own blood into his new creation: hanging from the ceiling is a wolf-like humanoid to be known as .

Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The episode begins by revisiting events from episode 10, highlighting the following:
- It is revealed that the
Kiramman family is responsible for containing the Zaun Grey, a toxic cloud created by factory smog, through a ventilation system.
- This also reveals that Chem-Barons in episode 7. implemented Cultivairs (greenhouses designed to produce clean air) during his leadership to mitigate the spread of the toxic cloud. However, the polution was never fully eradicated, as Silco weaponized it against dissenting

Hellfire
(whatchu know about that)
Can I do the right thing for the wrong reason
Is it bad that I'm making friends with my demons and
Living by a couple deadly sins just to make sure I finish what you began
And I ain't afraid to lose a life or ten if it means that I get to win in the end
So I'ma do this on my own
Step into the danger zone
Pull the pin and watch it blow
I would rather die alone
I would rather die alone
I would rather die
Come out and play
Let it rain down hellfire
(whatchu know about that)
Can't hide away, yeah
It's judgement day and
No one gets out alive
Where you gonna hide when it’s on sight when the dogs start feeding?
You should pick a side, maybe you could die
Go down with some all star heathens
Everybody killing ain’t nobody really willing
To think of all the chaos and the blood spilling
But when you live for the thrill that death’s giving
I’d rather have some fun than to be forgiven
Live by a couple deadly sins
Just to make sure I finish what you began
And I ain’t afraid to lose a life or ten
If it means that I get the win in the end
So I'ma do this on my own
Step into the danger zone
Pull the pin and watch it blow

Can't hide away, yeah
It's judgement day and
No one gets out alive
To Ashes and Blood
You walk along the edge of danger
And it will change you
Why would you let this voice set in your head
It is meant to destroy you
You summon storms
You play with nature
Now watch it hurt you
Why would you want to shape the world in your hands
You will never make it through
(Bey'fet ihru ga, Ahuni lek'cho, [Suhbi al naa yih])
(Bey'un hahbab, Ahuni lek'cho, [Suhbi al naa yih])
Catch the fire burning out your soul
(Suhbi al naa yih, Suhbi al naa yih)
Just make it die or you will turn it all
To ashes and blood (Bey'fet ihru ga, Ahuni lek'cho)
To ashes and blood (Bey'un hahbab, Ahuni lek'cho)
You waste your life to gain power
You shift the game rules
How does it feel to reach the line that no one ever got to cross?
Does it make you a god now?
Every sin will be forgiven
If you lay down your weapons to the ground
(Bey'fet ihru ga [Naa], Ahuni lek'cho, [Yih])
