Micro Update[edit | edit source]

  • A new Lab was added: Inventor. In this Lab, your deck is full of 'Invent!', a spell which offers you the choice between three random cards.
  • 6 Zephyr Sage was changed in an earlier hotfix so that it no longer copies itself. This is to prevent infinite combos involving copying another 0-cost Zephyr Sage.
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed an issue where 5Lux would become invincible when Silenced on the same turn she leveled up.
    • Fixed an issue where units supported by 3Lulu would incorrectly remain healed when the support effect wore off.
    • Fixed an issue where casting 2 Hush on a leveled-up 3Kalista would permanently stop her ability from triggering.
    • Fixed an issue where Spellshield wouldn’t properly block 8 Judgment or 5 Possession.
    • Fixed an issue where units transformed by 4 Whimsy! wouldn’t properly transform back into themselves.

Hotfixes[edit | edit source]

  • The day after this patch was released, a hotfix was put out that no longer made only the Targon background the only one that displayed, and disabled the associated cutscene.
  • Some users were stuck in a patch loop on 2nd September 2020, a hotfix was pushed for this.[1]
  • 6 Zephyr Sage's text was changed so it could no longer copy itself in hand. This was to prevent infinite combos involving copying another 0-cost Zephyr Sage in hand.[2]

    Targon is a region with a focus on powerful, slow, and permanent effects, calling upon powerful Celestial beings, and having large amounts of healing and effect nullification, with unparalleled access to SpellShields and Silences.

    Attack

    Effects with the Attack Vocab will trigger immediately when an attack is committed. Attack effects are resolved from left to right, at the same time as Support effects.

    Drain
    Deal a certain amount of damage to target and heal the allied Nexus by the same amount.

    Barrier and Blockade completely render Healing ineffective, but the excess damage of Overwhelm still works normally (in case the damage is greater than health).

    Tough will reduce the amount of health recovered by 1.

    Some effects like "Drain X to do something", which won't fizzle even if it doesn't deal any damage.

    Play

    Play is the act of playing a card by manually dragging it from your hand to the board.

    Some units have Play effects, which are optional effects that occur when they are played. Note that this is distinct from "When I'm summoned" effects: unlike "When I'm summoned" effects, Play effects do not trigger if a card is summoned another way.

    While Ionia doesn't boast the strongest creatures, they utilize evasive mechanics to bypass enemy defences and avoid incoming damage.

    Shadow Isles decks are all about making sacrifices to gain power. They feature powerful removal cards and have the most access to lifesteal mechanics.

    Bilgewater
    Bilgewater is a place of new beginnings and those that come parley with death for a chance at that opportunity. Control massive sea monsters and plunder the enemy nexus to send your opponent to a watery grave.

    Freljord
    Freljord is only region with access to mana generation and is all about spending it efficiently, usually favouring small numbers of powerful, overwhelming units rather than an army of weaker units.

    Silence
    Card text is covered with a painted 'X' when silenced.
    A silenced Unit has all card text, keywords, and any buff effects removed.

    New effects can still be applied to a Silenced unit. Aura effects (from another source) will re-applied to the Silenced unit . The Unit Groups and names are preserved - it still counts as a copy of a unit and member of the group.

    Unit card
    A unit is one of the main card types and can be either a Champion or a Follower card. A unit card can be played by spending Mana equal to its cost, and fulfilling any additional conditions in the card text, which summons it. A unit has a Cost, Power and Health. A unit can also have additional card text that has its own effects, usually only when the unit is alive.

    Ally in card text refers to an allied unit. Enemy in card text refers to one of your opponent's units.

    Support
    Support Diagram
    Units with Support trigger an effect when they attack if there is an ally positioned to their right (this ally is referred to as the "supported ally" in card text). Support effects are resolved from left to right, at the same time as Attack effects.

    Units that are summoned attacking at the same time as the attack is committed with the unit with Support can trigger Support effects.

    SpellShield
    Units with SpellShield is immune to all effects of the next SINGLE enemy spell or skill that affects them. Removed when the unit is affected by an enemy spell or skill.

    The effects (or the rest effects) that have affected SpellShield units are still working as normal (it's just that they don't affect SpellShield units). For example: 2 Vile Feast on SpellShield unit still summons a 1 Spiderling; OR 5 Tri-beam Improbulator still summons a unit.

    If multiple spells or skills interact, SpellShield will take effect before Barrier.
