Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Master Yi is a very unique carry as he doesn't exponentially benefit from fully unlocking Classes or Origins, but is most effective in a team composition which provides part of both his class and origin buffs, together with upgrading him and his allies to 3 Stars, by slow-rolling (rolling gold over 50) at level 7 when possible, as he benefits more from the raw HP and stats than the bonuses that 6 Blademasters or 6 Rebels may offer him. As a melee unit, Master Yi's core items are set in stone to enable him to function regardless of enemy lock-down, An icon for the item Quicksilver Quicksilver enables him to properly deal damage without getting kitted or chain CC'd into death, while An icon for the item Rabadon's Deathcap Rabadon's Deathcap grants an extreme stat boost in all of Chosen One's scaling that is also amplified by the Rebel bonus. His last items are situational between An icon for the item Hextech Gunblade Hextech Gunblade and An icon for the item Guinsoo's Rageblade Guinsoo's Rageblade, depending if sustain or raw DPS is favorable. An icon for the item Bramble Vest Bramble Vest ignores critical hits and gives extra armor, this is situationally good against High AD carries.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Yi is considerate one of the hardest carries in the game, As an On-hit oriented Blademaster, An icon for the item Guinsoo's Rageblade Guinsoo's Rageblade is considerate his Core item, after that is recommended to build him tanky with items such a An icon for the item Dragon's Claw Dragon's Claw and An icon for the item Warmog's Armor Warmog's Armor to keep him alive for as long as possible. An icon for the item Rapid Firecannon Rapid Firecannon is also a good option due to his fragile melee nature.

Alternative builds include turning him into a An icon representing TFT:Berserker Berserker, granting him the ability to cleave through teams with ease.

Out of all Mystic, An icon representing TFT:Nami#Set 2 Nami complements him the most, as she can empower his already strong On-hit auto attacks and set-up initionations for him with her Tidal Wave.
