After the Darkin War began, a number of the god-warriors invaded the First Lands while claiming to be great spirits; an event which became known as the War of the False Kanmei. As the First Lands fell into devastation, Yunara searched for help in her hometown's temple, where she prayed to the to help her fight the
Darkin and save her people. Although he initially refused, the Great Spirit agreed to help after learning the Darkin were posing as Kanmei. His aid came on one condition: All his enemies should be Yunara's too.

Yunara is a slender, fair-skinned woman with purple eyes and lavender hair. She wears elegant, traditional Ionian robes with a distinct palette of white, blue, and brown. Yunara wears ceremonial paint on her forehead.
