- Sett's Japanese voice actor is Takehito Koyasu.
- Both Xander and Takehito had acting roles in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise, a series that had heavy influence on Sett's design. Xander voiced Telence T. D'Arby[1] while Takehito voiced Dio Brando.

- His furry ears are similar to another Vastaya, ; however, real-life wolverines' ears have more rounded tips than foxes'.

- Rapidly using Sett's dance increases how fast he does his sit ups rather than restarting the animation.[16]
- Sett was teased ingame with the
Sett's Calling Card loot item earnable in patch V9.24. It was awarded by "Impressing Sett" (scoring first blood in PvP games) and openable from January 14, 2020. The card contained a Sett Champion Permanent.

- "Y'know what they say about messin' with the best." references a quote from the 1995 film Hackers ("Mess with the best, die like the rest.").
- "Get over here!" references Scorpion's iconic quote from the Mortal Kombat franchise.
- "Aaaaand, SCENE!" is a reference to his own quote: "Aaaaand, SLAM!"

- Sett is accompanied by two badger spirits - one Kanmei (blue/white), and one Akana (purple). They sit on Sett's shoulders when he is idle, but aid him when he fights by becoming spirit fists.
- The Kanmei badger is named Truffle, while the Akana one is named Southpaw.[20]
