- Seraphine is voiced by Michele Panu in
League of Legends and
Legends of Runeterra. Panu also voices , , , , and , as well as in New Dreams.[1]
- In Latin America, she is voiced by Leslie Gil, who covered "MORE" in Spanish. In addition to providing vocals for , she also sang verses.
- Her codenames were EllipsisMage and Idol.[2][3]
- Seraphine's placeholder model in development was a recolored [4] .
- Seraphine was inspired by Chinese culture, particularly Chinese-Americans. She has a fairer skintone that took inspiration from younger, teenage Chinese-American vloggers.[5]
- Seraphine's abilities were datamined from
Wild Rift Closed Beta 1, becoming the first instance of public information about the champion.[6]
- She has some thematic overlap with [7] ; whereas Sona is supposed to represent the musical aura thematic, Seraphine is supposed to represent the rhythmic music theme.
- The gameplay goals for Seraphine were to create a mage that was both simple and allies would enjoy playing with.[8]

- She was originally planned to be released in middle of 2020, but was held back to be released with

Universe

- Seraphine's magical hearing allows her to understand the brackerns' singing language, becoming the first person with the ability to hear them in hextech crystals. However, she's only capable to communicate with one in particular, her own crystal, as result of their deep connection over the years.[13] Her color story implies she's only able to hear it when Piltover and Zaun's songs are in harmony.
- Despite being the first person to achieve this goal in universe, the first champion known to hear the brackern's soul song was .
- Her biography got tweaked shortly after revealed due to player response to clear up doubts about her characterization. Some of her quotes, especially those about brackern and hextech lore, got some players confused about Seraphine's nature and were removed from her voiceover to avoid misleading connotations.[14] According to Riot Jag, Seraphine was never meant to know the true identity of the entity inside the crystals and these quotes were designed only for player immersion ingame.[15]

- Seraphine's Champion Spotlight on the League of Legends YouTube channel garnered the most dislikes for any Champion, with 138k (68%) dislikes before the platform made these numbers private (circa Nov 2021). However, it remained the third most liked spotlight behind

Audio

- Seraphine changing her own and nearby allies' background music while standing on a stage can be interpreted as her literal[22] , meaning her platform and sound system.
- "You're all breathtaking!" is a reference to the same phrase Keanu Reeves shouted during the Microsoft Xbox E3 2019 press conference presentation of Cyberpunk 2077 (Reference).
- "Hey, Vi, wrote you a fight song. Bet you'd love it." is likely referring to 's champion theme "Here Comes Vi".
- There are some dialogues that were removed due to the negative feedback by the community about the use of the hex crystals that can hear through her chromesthesia, since in contains such crystals before being reworked in-game and the story of the hextech were remade that coincide for the development of the
Arcane series.[23]
- Seraphine makes numerous references to the Riot Music universe, which includes KDA:

- The song is also her debut with K/DA; some lines directly quote her own lyrics.

- "Coming at you live!" references "THE BADDEST" by K/DA.
- "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, Eve. Wait... you have feelings?" references "VILLAIN" by K/DA.
- "I'd love to have a classic look like yours one day!" references the original (2018) K/DA skins.
- "Oh my gosh! How many yordles did you kill with one song?" and "That's a mortal reminder for you!" reference "Mortal Reminder" by Pentakill.

- "Seraphine! In your area!" parallels the group's iconic catch line.
- "Don't start now!" references "Don't Start Now" by Dua Lipa.
- "Let's cut to the feeling!" references "Cut to the Feeling" by Carly Rae Jepsen.
- "I once saw dancers jumping and popping at the same time. So cool!" references "Jopping" by SuperM.
- "You're so done!" references "DUN DUN" by Everglow.
- "Wonder if that third guy from the left ever came here... oh, wait, I need to focus!" directly quotes a social media user humorously referring to Jin, the BTS K-pop group member.
- "Rumors hurt more than sticks or stones. The words you say hit like bricks on bones. But like Maya and the tides, still I rise." is a references the poem "Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou.
- In a dialog that was removed in the PBE, "Fighting!" which was a phrase of encouragement originating from and popularized by South Korean sports culture (it is initially derived from Korean-style English), was removed because of the complaint in the South Korean community for her character development for commercial purposes for Chinese, because in his version in Riot Records universe he is of Chinese descent and can sing in Chinese in her two songs ("Made Me This Way" and "MORE", respectively), they did not take it because it broke the story as a character and that she sang that language in a K-Pop song.[24]
- "Birds just wanna have fun!" is a puns on the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" song by Cyndi Lauper.
- "What, like it's hard?" is based on a quote from the Legally Blonde movie.
- "Birds of a feather rock together!" is a reference to a English proverb, ("Birds of a feather flock together.").
- "Another one bites the dust!" is a reference to the song of the same name by the Queen British rock band.
- "Upgrades for the suit? Don't mind if I do!" resembles Twisted Fate's line: "Don't mind if I do."
- In the German localization, one of the available line, "Niemand bringt diese Taube zum Weinen." ('No one makes this dove cry.'), is a reference to the "When Doves Cry" song by the singer Prince.
Skins

- Her appearance is a mixture of youthful Piltovan and Zaunite fashion, due to her spending time in both cities as a music performer.
- She is seen performing on the Entresol level of Zaun in her splash art, with a crowd of Piltovan and Zaunite youth.

- This skin was used as her official reveal before her classic appearance was revealed. In 2020, social media accounts were run by Riot to create a fictional online persona and to promote the skin and its lore along with the other K/DA ALL OUT cosmetics. Over 100 unique artworks were posted as image posts of her daily life in different media, showing her journey from bedroom artist to K/DA collaborator.[26]

- This skin used to feature a unique set of missions that would grant various rewards including the two forms. The system represented her in-lore progression from an indie musician to becoming a pop sensation.
