RP, formerly known as Riot Points, is the premium currency used to unlock League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics PC content, mostly ranging from cosmetics to other functions outside of direct gameplay.
Content listed on the wiki defaults to North America RP prices.
The row below includes the countries of: Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela.
RP were formerly known as Combat Points early in the European server, and Riot Points until the announcement that the name would change to simply RP, to coincide with the announcement of multiple games for the 10th Anniversary Event, which do not make use of the currency, including Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics on mobile platforms, hence making the name Riot Points incorrect.[3] - the name is a relic of when League of Legends was Riot's only major game.
On occasion, such as the server issues during week 40 of Season One (in 2011), summoners who played that month were compensated with 350.
In December 2011, Riot awarded 450 to summoners above level 6 who had never been banned in the prior two months.
↑Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan. Ukraine also has an option to purchase RP with Euro, alongside the national currency.
