Mayhem vs Merriment is the April Fools' Day event of 2025. It lasted for the duration of the patch 25.07 cycle and featured exclusive rewards for participating. Most of the content was available in Howling Abyss and Summoner's Rift Normal games (ARAM, Swiftplay, Draft Pick).

Event

Mayhem vs. Merriment is centered around Pengu Garen, a jolly but righteous party leader who encourages the player and wants to stop Cat-in-the-Box Shaco's mischief.

Shaco will occasionally place cat-in-the-boxes at random locations in the lanes. Picking one up causes [a small surprise!] and grants  47.5% bonus movement speed decaying over 1 second. Every 10 picked up, all team members gain an enticing "Small Party Favor" from Shaco. Opening it awards 10 to 50 and may also grant Elixir of Avarice or Elixir of Force.

On the Howling Abyss:

• Summoner haste from Howling Abyss aura is increased to 140 from 70.
• Cappa Juice has a discount for 300.
• Throw disco balls at enemies who refuse to join the party.

On Summoner's Rift:

• Long live the Party Drake.
  • Party Rift: Disco pads appear over the map, plus three large ones toward each lane inside the two bases. Entering a pad grants a "Party Drake" stack, refreshing on subsequent pad entrances and cat-in-the-box pickups and stacking up to 8 times. For each stack, gain  8% bonus total movement speed which decays exponentially over the next 10 seconds. The same pad cannot re-apply its effect until the player has moved sufficiently far away first (floating text will notify the player, stating "Try a different pad!"). Additionally, a Party Duckie in each team's fountain can be interacted with to initiate a channel for 3 seconds, during which you "Charge to Dance" and gain "Party Drake" stacks, limited to up to 6.
  • Party Dragon Slayer: Upon slaying the drake, you are awarded a "Party Favor" in your inventory. Consuming the item awards 150 to 250 (randomly), an additional skill point, and for the next 90 seconds you cause nearby minions to sparkle and gain 0.0000001% bonus movement speed.
  • Party Dragon Soul: You start a party when within 650 units of at least one ally, gaining 30% bonus movement speed as well as 1% bonus AD and 1% AP for every 5% bonus movement speed.

Lastly—please do not hurt the minions, they have feelings too.
