Medarda Civil War[edit | edit source]
- Main article: Ambessa: Chosen of the Wolf
At the start of the Medarda civil war, Steward Dauvin was not present at Hostlord Menelik's deathbed in Bel'zhun and instead sent his niece, Stefana, as his representative. When and Ta'Fik Medarda both made claims to the succession, Stefana was among the first to ally herself with Ta'Fik. This was partially because Dauvin believed supporting Ambessa would be less profitable, as more soldiers fighting abroad would mean fewer people back home to drink Noxian wine. When Ambessa set sail across the Conqueror's Channel from Rokrund to return to Bel'zhun, her ship was intercepted by a Kilgrovan vessel captained by Stefana, who had been enhanced by
Black Rose rune magic. After Ambessa became leader of the clan, she made plans to "deal with" all the stewards who opposed her, including Dauvin.[1]
