Development

Lillia is voiced by Holly Earl.^[1]
- Lillia has a Scottish accent due to her character drawing influence from the myths of the faeries of the British isles.^[2]
The product goal for Lillia was to create a pretty, elegant and whimsical jungler because of the missing opportunity space.^[3]
In development, Dream-Laden Bough used to have a heal.^[4]
Lillia's development name was cute jungler.^[5]
Lillia used a 70% scaled down version of Sion's model during play testing.^[5]

Lillia was born from the Dreaming Tree's desires to have an attendant or protector of sorts, so it's very possible that the tree dreamed of the God-Willow's previous protectors, being the ancient Vastayashai'rei.
- This may explain her Vastaya-like appearance despite being a unique being separate from the Vastaya, as her appearance is based on the dreams of the Dreaming Tree.
Lillia speaks with a Scottish accent, as she was heavily inspired by the fairies of the British Isles.

Lillia has different animations, voice over queues and blooms depending on how many Prance stacks she has.^[6]
Her name and title likely pun on Latin lilia, plural of lilium < Greek leírion λείριον < Coptic hlēri ϩⲗⲏⲣⲓ < Ancient Egyptian ḥrrt "flower, blossom".
Lillia was teased in-game with the Lillia's Haiku loot item earnable in patch V10.14. It was awarded by scoring takedowns as Jungle and openable from July 22, 2020. The card contained a Lillia Champion Permanent.
The sleep debuff from Lilting Lullaby is named Shhh.. They're Asleep.

"Is this my nightmare, or yours?" is a reference to "Are you my nightmare, or am I yours?"

"I met the strangest human in my forest. D-Do you think they're here? I still have their dream." is Lillia's perspective in "On a cliff by the sea, I found the strangest spirit. It walked on four legs and spoke of dreams".

Lillia shares visual similarities with Neeko due to Jennifer Wuestling drawing both their base splash arts.^[7]
She resembles the Dryads/Vorkai from World of Warcraft.
