Project: Summoners[edit source]
All articles containing 'summoner' need to be updated to the word 'profile' as of November 2023 - read Riot's related article here: https://www.riotgames.com/en/news/summoner-name-riot-ID
Baseline pages related to 'summoners':
- Summoner (this one should be archived, not re-written)
- Summoner profile
- Summoner icon
Many articles have "Summoner icons" headings or tabs that display a gallery of profile icons related to a subject. Examples:
- Universe:AnimaTech#Summoner Icons (and all skin set articles)
- Yasuo/Development#Summoner Icons (and all character development articles)
- The Spirit of Hearth-Home#Summoner Icons (and all game articles)
Articles/mentions not related to this project and which should not be changed across the wiki:
- Anything related to gameplay that is current (Summoner's Rift, Summoner spells, etc.) or already archived (Summoner Mastery, Rune (Historical) etc.)
- Summoner's Cup
Project: Wild Rift Expansion[edit source]
With Wild Rift being slowly released, many articles need to be made about the new content. Additionally, the Wiki needs to lay new structure in order to distinguish between two very similar games. Whether it be general editing, testing in-game mechanics, or reporting on the latest content, any form of contribution would be helpful.
[edit source]
This project consists of a three-part effort:
- Many articles on the Wiki utilize navigation tables that help the reader browse related content on the Wiki, which are placed at the bottom, where a "References" section usually exists as well.
- In the majority of instances, this footer is inconsistent and substandard: the order of References–Navigation footers is mixed, whereas placing them under the References section forces mobile users to click under the heading named "References" in order to use the navigation tables, which is a very unintuitive and incorrect navigation format.
- Their order should be References section first, then any navigation footers at the bottom.
- Additionally, all navigation footers should exist under a "See Also" section (note: if single links are provided to users for further reading, they are to be placed before the navigation tables and in a bullet list.)
- Inside the editor, it is recommended to add at least one empty line before each of the two sections, for consistency and ease of viewing/editing.
- With all navigation footers existing as the last element and last section on any page they are in, hiding them is usually unnecessary. Navigation tables often utilize a
[show]
/[hide]
button toggle, and this can be controlled by adding ahide=false
parameter in the related navigation templates. - References sections that are added via Template:Reflist under a
== References ==
heading should generally be replaced by the Template:References template as it serves the same function for inline citations—unless there is a good reason not to do so in a specific article.
Also see: Category:Navigation templates. Click the "See usage" button under each template to view a list of articles where they are used.
Note: Landing pages are excluded from the above!
